5 Things Smart Companies Won’t Forget They Learned During the Pandemic

1 min read

2020 was a year none of us will ever forget, no matter how hard we try. The hardships it presented posed real challenges for our businesses, our workplaces, our communities, and for our families.

As is always the case with hardship however, through it all, we build character and resilience, and we find new ways to get the important things done.

In 2020, the new way we found at work was virtual. Working from home had us all relying on our common, everyday, virtual meeting tools to provide us what was likely our only way of having rich, interactive connections with those at work including our co-workers, vendors, customers, and more.

In 2020, we discovered we can work from home, we can attend and run events from home, we can sell from home, we can train our employees and receive training from home, we can in fact fulfill all, or close to all, of our work functions from home.

That’s something good that came out of Covid. The question is, what are organizations of all kinds going to do with that information? Do we go back to doing everything in person? Or, do we run with the lessons we learned and begin building a virtual organization now? Or, is perhaps the answer a hybrid organization?

I assure you smart organizations are asking themselves these very questions right now.

I‘ve taken a few minutes to share my thoughts on this topic in the video above. Inside I talk briefly a out virtual events, virtual offices, virtual selling, virtual training, and virtual recruiting.

I hope it gets your wheels turning. Let me know if you have any questions or want to toss a few ideas around.
